This week I got a delicious big box of beautifully fresh produce from Box Fresh - I used to get it every week when I lived over near the city, but after moving to the Northern Beaches, I was sadly out of their delivery zone. BUT good news is they have expanded, so now I can have the convenience and freshness of their weekly deliveries. It's also really fun getting different veggies each week; makes it easier to be creative and try new recipes.
As I'm currently still working towards my goals and eating on a set meal plan, (as is John) so we are eating lots of veggies but the majority are mostly green. Still, Box Fresh can accommodate your dietary needs and we just asked for no starchy veg or fruit and get extra greens instead. You can also add in extras to your box. It's very flexible!
Keeping in theme with staying creative in the kitchen, I'm going to try and do a weekly recipe with ingredients from Box Fresh. To start it off this week, I've kept it simple as it was rather hot in Sydney today and I did not want to be heating up the house any more! This dish brings your normal steamed broccoli to life; you really can't beat the flavours of fresh garlic and chili and the beautiful, colorful little peppers this week were just so good. It's the perfect side dish to a piece of chicken, fish or meat. You could also whip these veggies up into an omelette the next day for breakfast. Plus this recipe is suitable for the eating plans in my new ebook DETOX CLEANSE NOURISH.
